The Alescent Strategic Framework is the principal organizing framework within the Alescent Body of Knowledge (ABoK). It defines Alescent-specific strategy, identity, operating models, applied knowledge, governance, and the institutional means through which Alescent applies and advances Value Realization.

The Value Realization Body of Knowledge (VRBoK) and its principal organizing Value Realization Framework are intended to remain portable, generalized, and suitable for use outside Alescent-specific legal, commercial, operating, brand, or derivative-asset structures.

The Alescent Strategic Framework is specific to Alescent. It defines how Alescent presents itself, operates, engages, distributes value, manages Products and intellectual property, governs derivative assets, and applies the VRBoK in market-facing and customer-facing contexts.

Relationship to the Alescent Body of Knowledge

The Alescent Body of Knowledge is the complete governed Alescent-specific institutional and applied knowledge corpus. The Alescent Strategic Framework organizes the principal concepts, relationships, models, and rules within that corpus.

The ABoK is broader than the Framework. It may also contain:

  • canonical Alescent doctrine and controlled institutional definitions;
  • developing operating, engagement, commercial, Product, and intellectual-property models;
  • Applied Value Library artifacts with differentiated authority and lifecycle status;
  • brand, communication, website, and derivative-asset guidance;
  • Source Material and evidence;
  • non-canonical Perspectives and proposed changes;
  • historical, deprecated, and superseded artifacts;
  • the distinct Alescent Legal Framework and its operative instruments.

Alescent Canon identifies the content formally accepted as authoritative within the Alescent-specific scope. Neither inclusion in the ABoK nor repository placement makes every artifact canonical.

Core Structure

The Alescent Strategic Framework is organized into the following areas:

  1. Alescent Strategic Foundations. Alescent identity, purpose, promise, philosophy, positioning, audiences, Semantic Model, and canonical institutional language. The existing 010. Alescent Canon path is retained during transition, but it represents the foundational canonical layer rather than the complete ABoK.
  2. Operating Models. Engagement model, Team Member model, commercial model, value-distribution model, Product and intellectual-property model, and account and engagement leadership model.
  3. Applied Value Library. Curated Offerings, Patterns, Practices, Products, Platforms, Playbooks, Proof, performance measures, Perspectives, and commercialization artifacts. Inclusion does not by itself confer canonical status.
  4. Legal and Commercial Framework. Alescent-specific agreements, schedules, role assignments, discrete assignments, commercial models, and governance instruments. This remains a distinct operative framework within the Alescent knowledge environment.
  5. Brand and Communications. Brand voice, visual identity, presentation standards, and reusable language.
  6. Website and Derivative Assets. Website content architecture, deck inventory, template inventory, publishing handoffs, and derivative-asset governance.
  7. Governance. ABoK governance, canonical authority, Change Register, Canonical Decision Register, derivative-impact management, source intake, and stewardship.

Relationship to the Value Realization Body of Knowledge

The ABoK and Alescent Strategic Framework depend on the VRBoK but must not redefine it casually.

Alescent-specific materials may apply, extend, operationalize, commercialize, or package Value Realization concepts. Where an Alescent-specific artifact proposes to change a portable Value Realization concept, the change must be recorded and reviewed as a proposed VRBoK change before it is treated as generally canonical.

The Alescent Legal Framework remains a distinct operative framework informed by the ABoK. It may incorporate selected ABoK and VRBoK definitions, Principles, operating models, commercial constructs, schedules, policies, and governance rules.

Legal instruments may create rights, obligations, authorities, limitations, assignments, remedies, and enforceable relationships. They should not be treated merely as reference content. Where an executed legal instrument conflicts with explanatory or applied ABoK content, the applicable instrument governs the parties and matter within its legal scope.

Canonical Authority

The following distinctions apply:

  • ABoK. The complete governed Alescent knowledge corpus.
  • Alescent Strategic Framework. The principal organizing Framework within the ABoK.
  • Alescent Canon. The formally accepted authoritative subset.
  • Applied Value Library. Curated reusable applied knowledge objects with explicit status.
  • Source Material and Perspectives. Non-canonical inputs to development and decision-making.
  • Derivative Assets. Downstream adaptations that must preserve source traceability.

Guidance

  • Do not treat decks, websites, proposals, meeting summaries, or templates as canonical doctrine.
  • Do not use Alescent-specific legal or commercial terms to redefine the VRBoK unless a portable Framework-level decision has been made.
  • Keep canonical definitions separate from source intake, open questions, derivative-asset backlogs, and planning notes.
  • Use Semantic Model files for controlled vocabulary, taxonomy, ontology, rules, and LLM instructions.
  • Use explicit authority and lifecycle status where practical.
  • Use 900. Governance consistently for governance directories.
  • Route material unresolved questions through the Canonical Review Backlog or the applicable Alescent governance register.
