Applied Value Library Governance

This area governs the Applied Value Library, including item intake, classification, metadata, ownership, review, maturity, commercialization readiness, supportability, repeatability, evidence, and retirement.

Governance Principles

• The library is an actively managed intellectual asset base.
• Each item should have a semantic type.
• Each item should have an owner group or accountable steward.
• Each item should have a maturity state.
• Each item should identify related Value Realization™ Domains and Priorities where applicable.
• Each item should state whether it is a Product, product candidate, product input, or non-product intellectual asset.
• Generated indexes and derivative pages should not become the source of truth.

Pattern Governance

Patterns require particular governance because they can easily become too broad, too generic, or too weakly evidenced.

Each Pattern should identify:

• whether it is observed, prescribed, or both;
• the condition, behaviour, practice, risk, or intervention it describes;
• the evidence basis for inclusion;
• whether the pattern is validated, inferred, provisional, or candidate;
• the Value Realization™ Domains and Priorities it affects;
• related practices, playbooks, products, platforms, proof artifacts, and performance measures;
• the owner group accountable for maintenance;
• the maturity state and review cadence.

A pattern should not be added merely because a situation occurred once. It should be reusable, interpretable, and materially relevant to Value Realization™ work.

Governance Directory Standard

Governance directories should be numbered 900 consistently across the repository.
