Presentation Standards

Purpose

This document defines core Alescent presentation standards for creating, presenting, and distributing slide materials.

Standards

  • External presentations should be shown in slide show format, not edit mode.
  • External sharing should generally use PDF or PPS/PPSX rather than editable PPT/PPTX unless specifically authorized.
  • Slides should be sparse enough to present, not merely read.
  • A practical maximum is three key visuals, five succinct bullets, or approximately forty words per slide.
  • Client, customer, or partner names and logos should never survive from copied materials unless intentionally included and authorized.
  • Copyrighted or trademarked content should be identified and used appropriately.
  • Licensed background images should be inserted on slide masters where possible to reduce file size and improve consistency.
  • Spelling, grammar, structure, and detail errors are credibility risks.

Governance

Presentation materials are derivative assets. They should be generated or revised from canonical source materials, not treated as source doctrine.
